Infos:
- Used Zammad version: 6.1
Expected behavior:
Idea1
- Settings to remove all Attachement and replace them with a custom .txt file.
Idea2
- Setup a new Zammad and migradet everything but not Attachement.
Actual behavior:
- none
That’s not going to work.
Zammad stores attachments together with a checksum. As soon as you, at some day, start to verify those for whatever reason everything hits the fan.
Both approaches are a bad idea, even if it might work on the short run.
Please consider not doing any of these.
Zammad currently does not provide an option to partially or remove attachments based on time rules etc. As Zammad has a duplicate attachment detection, this is also not trivial.
I believe we have feature requests on this regard already, but if not, consider creating one with use cases and stuff here:
For the record. I do not have to remove selected attachment or by time. I have to remove ALL Attachments. Remove by time is no needed because we have to use another storage anyway.
