It would be ideal to help manage performance within Zammad if whilst configuring the LDAP integration, the following options were added:
LDAP Sync Frequency (i.e. 1 hour, 6 hours, 12, hours, 24 hours etc) to choose how often the LDAP server is queried across the network.
The option to add a base DN other than the root of the tree to limit the scope of objects scanned.
This is something that I’ve seen in other LDAP enabled applications such as PaperCut. Being able to adjust this reasonably resource intensive task (in large AD environments for example) would be very beneficial in reducing server loads, sync times, and network traffic as well as aid with application performance.
