Zammad mobile view connection to server lost

  • Used Zammad version: 6.3.1
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …): Package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04
  • Browser + version: Google Chrome 129.0

Expected behavior:

  • Mobile view working normally as intended

Actual behavior:

  • Getting error: connection to server lost.
  • Only on mobile view

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Migration from version 5.0.x to 6.3.1

Already tried

Shouldn’t you upgrade from 5.0.x to 6.0.x and then 6.x.x to make the jump a bit safer?

Anyways, the view that you see is that a cached version or is the warning a false/negative? Kind of strange that you are logged in if the connection to server is lost.

What happens when you press any of the overviews or your own profile in bottom right corner.

Try opening the mobile view in incognito or another browser.

Any error/info related in production.log?

How’s the health check in Zammad? (Settings → System → Monitoring)

This post might be related, probable nginx version mismatch:
problem with mobile web client showing the connection to the server was lost

Check your nginx version and see if you might have to upgrade to 1.3x for reverse proxy

The solution was to migrate from apache2 to nginx, now it works
