Hello,
I would like to ask about multi tab support. I found following topic: Multitab functionality but it is not clear to me what was the conclusion. In comments it is mentioned that multitab support now works but it does not work for me in version 4.1.x.
Our use case is following. It happens to us often that we need to work with two tickets in parallel but in order to do that we still have to use the button “Continue session” which is pretty annoying.
Could you please let me know if it is possible to have more than one browser tab active or if this is still not possible (coz by design)?
Thanks,
Vladimir

Hi there - thanks for filing an issue. Please ensure the following things … before creating an issue - thank you! 🤓
Since november 15th we handle all requests, except real bugs, at our community board.
Full explanation: https://community.zammad.org/t/major-change-regarding-github-issues-community-board/21
Please post:
- Feature requests
- Development questions
- Technical questions
on the board -> https://community.zammad.org !
If you think you hit a bug, please continue:
- Search existing issues and the CHANGELOG.md for your issue - there might be a solution already
- Make sure to use the latest version of Zammad if possible
- Add the `log/production.log` file from your system. Attention: Make sure no confidential data is in it!
- Please write the issue in english
- Don't remove the template - otherwise we will close the issue without further comments
- Ask questions about Zammad configuration and usage at our mailinglist. See: https://zammad.org/participate
Note: We always do our best. Unfortunately, sometimes there are too many requests and we can't handle everything at once. If you want to prioritize/escalate your issue, you can do so by means of a support contract (see https://zammad.com/pricing#selfhosted).

### Infos:
* Used Zammad version: zammad-2.6.0-1539902613.d89d86d8.centos7.x86_64
* Installation method (source, package, ..): yum repo: https://dl.packager.io/srv/rpm/zammad/zammad/stable/el/7/$basearch
* Operating system: CentOS 7.5.1804
* Database + version: postgresql-server-9.2.24-1.el7_5.x86_64
* Elasticsearch version: elasticsearch-5.6.12-1.noarch
* Browser + version: Firefox 62.0.3 (64-Bit)
### Expected behavior:
* When working with multiple tabs, be able to switch fast between tabs to get tickets solved quickly.
### Actual behavior:
* When multiple tabs are opened zammad is only able to have the active session in the last tab. All other tabs have a modal that states the question to restart the session.
### Steps to reproduce the behavior:
* I just need to open zammad, go to the overview page, open multiple tickets in tabs and there the message appears.

The message is in german, because my system is configured to a german frontend. It states:
Session
A new session was created for your user. To prevent conflicts in colletive opened tasks, this session has been stopped.
This is my translation, maybe the translation of zammad itself can be different.
Yes I'm sure this is a bug and no feature request or a general question. I'm pretty sure that such a great tool as zammad should support multitabbing and I hope I'm correct in this platform and it is a bug and not just a configuration issue.
It’s designed to only work as a single-page-app. The guy in the topic you linked simple had a typo literally writing:
Tabs are now allowed for now
where it should have been
Tabs are not allowed for now
So no, it never has been (besides that one bug) and it’s still not possible to use multiple zammad browser-tabs. The only tabs you can use are zammad’s own tabs:
cheers

Thanks for your answer.
IMO it is a pity as sometimes it is good to have two tickets opened next to each other.

Please follow this thread where I will drop a more enhanced explanation of why this is not possible:
Hi Zammad community
When the support team is chatting with users, they have some breaks when they can work on tickets during the chat session. Since opening a new tab leads to display a message that says the session is lost, this could be very annoying for the support team. Currently, our support team creates multiple accounts and open them in multiple browsers to avoid this pain
Is there a way to disable this feature?
I have no example of other websites that have such functio…
I’ve written it often enough and will do it again - once.
Expect me to take up to 14 days for this. Sorry.
