German translation of status

  • Used Zammad version: 6
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Debian 11
  • Browser + version: Chrome 115

Expected behavior:

  • Status should be localized in UI and email

Actual behavior:

  • Some status are note translated into German:
    image
  • If I send an email by Trigger and use the variable #{ticket.state.name}, it’s in english than in german.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Open Ticket creation mask and open the dropdown “status”
  • Send email with trigger and put the variable #{ticket.state.name} in the body. Turn language settings into German before. If the status of the ticket is “open”, in the email it should be translatet into “offen”.

Hopefully this will help you:

Trigger based content from objects -even if they have a translation- are not translated. Zammad uses the value from the database for this which, in most scenarious, is the english version of it.

If you are interested in translating status names in triggers as well, feel free to join the “thrilling” (warning: ironic) discussion here:

Thank you, that worked.

Does it make sense to create a feature request on this? Or is this on your to do list anyway?

We currently not communicating any roadmaps so I can’t tell you anything about if or not. If there’s no feature request, you may want to add one any way.
