Big Ticket needs to load over 30 sec

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: latest
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu → Intel Xeon E3-1260L / 8GB RAM / SSD RAID1
  • Browser + version: Chrom latest

Expected behavior:

  • Open big tickets fast (load only last 30 articles, etc) and need to click “load more”, if you want to see it all

Actual behavior:

  • Open a ticket with more than 700 articels need to open more than 30 sec.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Take a ticket with more than 700 articels and try to open it.

Yeah we have that too from time to time. Some customers like to use tickets as chat.
The feature request would be great enhancement.

There’s nothing you can do on that in Zammad core as of now.
Even if your server is fast enough shipping all that data, in this case your browser most likely is the bottle neck due to the extreme amount of HTML content.

Browsers don’t like that too much.
I’ve never seen 700+ article tickets in Zammad installations yet, you may want to try to keep the number lower if possible.
