Zammad fails sometimes to send mails

  • Browser + version: Firefox 133.0.3

Sometimes Zammad fails to send mails with error:
Message: Channel: Email::Account out Delivery failed with exitstatus 75: [/usr/sbin/sendmail, -i, -f, [failed receivers]]

This seems to occur randomly.

We are using Microsoft 365.

Expected behavior:

  • Every outgoing mail should be sent.

Actual behavior:

  • Some Mails don’t get sent.

What do you have setup for outgoing email in Zammad?

If you are using M365, I’m not sure why there is a sendmail error. Check your outbound email and channel.

Do you have multiple groups with different email accounts associated?

I wasn’t completely right about the used channel. We receive our mails with Microsoft 365, but we send mails via sendmail. I think we found the solution. Postfix has a size restriction of 10MB by default and the affected mails were a bit bigger.
