Zammad backup function pg error

  • Used Zammad version: 5.0.1
  • Used Zammad installation type: debian package
  • Operating system: debian 10.10

Expected behavior:

Zammad-Backup without error

Actual behavior:

Postgres-Backup broken.

After upgrade from 4.x to 5.x postgres backup didnt work with backup skript from zammad as root.

FATAL: Peer authentication failed for user “zammad”

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Start backup script as root

zammad himself works perfectly. so i don’t understand.

Does the script have to be started differently now? No longer as root perhaps?
If so the hint is missing in your official documentation :wink:

Ok, my mistake (again) xD

The script must be started by the socket connection as zammad too.

So before

su - zammad

And then run the script. :wink:
