Zammad 5.0, cannot configure exchange account with IMAP and STARTTLS

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.0.x
  • Used Zammad installation type: Kubernetes
  • Operating system: Windows 10
  • Browser + version: Windows Edge 98.0.1108.43

Expected behavior:

  • Adding sucessfully a IMAP Account which is configured on a Exchange 2016 Server with SSL/STARTTLS on Port 993.

Actual behavior:

  • Login failed

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Trying a different mailbox from our Exchange does not work either.
    If we configure a Outlook client with the according parameters, it fails if we select STARTTLS but not with SSL/TLS (both port 993)

BTW: If we open port 143 and try it without SSL, we receive the following error: invalid command

Issues has been found and solved.

For anyone else. The issues was: passwordlength
The user had a password with 32 characters and we adjusted it to 12. Now everything works.
