1. What is your original point you want to solve?

I would also like to deal with the questions raised by XMPP/JABBER via Zammad.

2. What are one or two specific situations where this problem is most affected?

Existing structures in the organization are already on XMPP/JABBER for a long time, but they can only treat their inquiries via e-mail, as Zammad does not yet support XMPP/JABBER.

3. Why is it not detachable with the Zammad standard?

Because there is no support for it.

4. What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?

This is stolen by here but the following:

It would be nice if users could therefore be reached by XMPP, an >> open-source with many different server and client implementations available.

It should offer different modes:

  • Unencrypted
  • PGP-encrypted (related PGP #220)
  • OTR
  • OMEMO

Thank you as well for raising this as a feature request after I closed the issue. There hasn’t been much interest in this in recent years. The community might provide more useful insights, as it is easier to collect “Likes” here.
