Which user is the right one?


  • Used Zammad version: 5.2.3
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04.5
  • Browser + version: Edge 106

Expected behavior:

Show E-Mail address of customer in auto complete list in ticket creation or change customer

Actual behavior:

It is not possible to distinguish which customer is which if they have the same name.
It would be good if the e-mail address was also displayed. After selecting the user, this is displayed, but this information is missing in the search field.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Search user with the same name. You can’t know which one is the right person:

Create a ticket:

The same problem exists on change customer dialog:

It is possible to fix that?
Out instance is getting bigger and multiple users with the same name are coming and the support team can’t handle this.

You can show the display the address in the selection, it is a setting you have to set using the console. See Advanced customization settings — Zammad documentation
