What happened to Package Development / Add-Ons?

Hi,
I just wanted to use zammad in a new project and thought of implementing some additional functionality using the feature of “packages” or “addons” I remembered from some previous project, but can’t find any documentation on this topic anymore.
What happened here?

I just want to add: The level of documentation of addons has improved in the past, also documentation wise. But yes, there’s no exact ready to go cookbook except from threads in this community.
