What are "categories" in tickets?


I found this in the Zammad 5.1 release notes:

However even after looking very long in our installation and in the Zammad documentation I could not find the term “category” associated to tickets (only in some code example referring to the rails console).

There are categories in the knowledgebase, though, but there no “multiselect” seems to be possible (at least not with any of the various modifier-clicks that I tried :-).

Am I missing something?

We strongly divide our documentations. Multiselect obviously is a object type and thus referenced in the admin documentation:
