User receives error on password request


When a user requests a password in the login screen, the user receives an error message


  • Used Zammad version: 3.3
  • Used Zammad installation source: (CentOS 7 RPM )
  • Operating system: CentOS 7
  • Browser + version: Versie 83.0.4103.61 (Officiële build) (64-bits)

Expected behavior:

User receives password on request

Actual behavior:

User receives error on request {“error”:“Error ID XXXXXXXX: Please contact your administrator.”}

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Go to Zammad login screen
  • Request a new password

Additional info

The log is a few hours behind (for some reason) no information is shown

Search for the exact phrase “Error ID XXXXXXXX” or just the ID you Xed out in your production logfile.
Nobody can help you here, because this ID is dynamically generated and this error message applies to tons of situations in Zammad.
