User permission automatically un-ticked after few minutes

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 4.0.x
  • Used Zammad installation source: package
  • Operating system: ubuntu 20.4
  • Browser + version: Chrome / Firefox

Expected behavior:

  • Tick two roles “Agent_IT” and “Manager_IT” for user “Agent_1” for the permission.
    Agent_1 should have permission according to the user permission setting.

Actual behavior:

  • On “Edit: User” page and Permission session for “Agent_1”, I ticked “Manager_IT” (Roles)
    So there are “Agent_IT” and “Manager_IT” ticked on the account “Agent_1”
    Then, few minutes later, “Manager_IT” is unticked automictically by the system.
    I tried with the default role “Admin” but same issue happens.

Sounds like you’re using the LDAP integration.
If that’s the case this behavior is absolutely normal because LDAP is the source of truth for Zammad. Adjust your role mapping if it doesn’t fit anymore.
