Used Zammad version:
6.2.0-1707115064.33614ef9.jammy
Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …)
package
Operating system:
Windows 10 22H2 Build 19045.4046
Browser + version:
Microsoft Edge for Business Version 122.0.2365.59 (Offizielles Build) (64-Bit)
Google Chrome Version 122.0.6261.95 (Offizieller Build) (64-Bit)
Expected behavior:
When hovering for example over a Customer-Icon in a Ticket-View as an Agent using mouseover the User Information Pop-Up is not beeing displayed.
Actual behavior:
No User Information Pop-Up is beeing displayed.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
None, just log in and open up a Ticket. Trying to get the Customer User Information using mouseover is not triggering the Display of the Pop-Up.
Steps I allready tried to fix or analyse it:
I already tried deleting the Browser History like Cookies and Websitedata and I already tried another Browser (I installed Google Chrome just for this, the Browser was not installed before), but same issue there.
When I use another Computer and log in there, the mouseover is working just fine using the same (my own) Agent Account. What can I do to get it working on my personal Computer again? I find it hard to believe that I have to reinstall Windows just because of this…
Is there some kind of Logs I can check for this?
Anything I can try to fix that, besides reinstalling windows?
I have just installed Firefox as well and tested it there using my personal Computer and my Agent Account in Zammad, still no User Information Pop-Ups there.
I have never installed any Add-Ons, Extentions or Plug-Ins by myselfe in any Browser since I’m using this Computer.
I checked the Developer Console and matched the Error-Messages there agains the Error-Messages shown in the very same Ticket for another Agent, a coworker.
I have two messages there, that my coworker does not have.
They are the following two messages:
(3) Images must have alternative text: Element has no title attribute (Error)
and
(1) Deprecated feature used (Warning)
Sadly I can’t attach or upload Screenshots here.
Is there yet another console I can check? If so, can you tell me where and what to check for?
I also have new insights that I would like to share.
Last days I have worked off site with my notebook, just the notebook without a Docking Station or external Monitor connected and the User Information Pop-Up worked just fine that day.
Today I came back to the office, connected to the Dock like usuall and the issue came back like before.
I unplugged the dock after that and tested it without refreshing the tab, still no Pup-Ups.
When I refresh Zammad and open a Ticket without the Dock, it workes again.
When I connect to the Dock again after refreshing Zammad without a connected Dock and do not refresh Zammad again after connecting the Dock, the Pop-Up is working fine in Tickets I have opened without the Dock. In Tickets I open after I have connected the Dock again the Pop-Up is again not working.
So, for example, lets assume I have two Tickets on my Desk, Ticket A and Ticket B.
While connected to the Dock: Both Tickets are not displaying the User Information Pop-Up on Mouseover.
I connect the Dock and refresh Zammad:
Either Ticket I open now the User Information Pop-Up will work, but I just open Ticket A and verify it’s working.
I connect the Dock again and do not refresh Zammad:
Ticket A will still work fine as long as I do not close it on the left side.
Ticket B, which I had not opened while the Dock was unplugged, is not working.
So, as long as I do not refresh the Website, Ticket A is displaying the Pop-Up and Ticket B is not.
As soon as I refresh the Website with the Dock connected the Pop-Up is not working for any of the Tickets again.
This behavior kinda confuses me even more, any idea how the Dock could play into it?
This sounds like a multi-monitor-issue. I am currently not able to reproduce that here (and will not be able until I am back in Germany). But if my theory is correct, your behaviour should also be reproduceable if you have a computer with two monitors and connect/disconnect the second monitor.
I believe we had an issue documented about this.
The difference was: “Tablet” mode vs. Desktop mode.
If your browser goes in “Touch mode” the hover wont work even with mouse. This is not really a bug if I remember correctly, but it’s like 6months ago + so I’m old and forgetting stuff…
