Unprocessable mails since update

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.23
  • Used Zammad installation type: DEB
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
  • Browser + version: Firefox 107.0.1

Expected behavior:

  • Zammad should process all emails

Actual behavior:

  • Zammad is leaving messages in / opt / zammad / tmp / unprocessable_mail / and writing to the log, when emails are from the domain @fax.de.
    This mails are incomming fax messages.
    This errors occurs since we updated zammad:
"ERROR: #<ActiveRecord::RecordInvalid: Validation failed: Invalid email '+494xxxxxxxxxx@fax.de'>"                                                                                                                                         

You may want to create a bug report if you believe the alias should be correct.
I couldn’t find any RFC that forbids + at the beginning of an alias so.

Do you know if there were any changes in the last versions?
In the older versions of zammad, we didn’t have this problem.
Is the only problem the + at the beginning of the number?
What try’s zammad or ruby to validated in this case?

Sorry you didn’t even tell from which version you came.
Zammad is changing on a weekly basis commit wise, it’s impossible for me to keep up.

We came from version 3.5
