Unable to save POP-Server definition

Hej Zammadists,

our mail environment has changed an I need to change the POP-Server definition in Zammad, too.

Final step before saving the new credentials is that Zammad probes sending a mail to emailtrytest@znuny.com

mail.log says:
postfix/smtp[5320]: 4D2CF1F651: to=emailtrytest@znuny.com, relay=utah.znuny.com[88.99.55.35]:25, delay=6.7, delays=0.1/0.03/6.4/0.11, dsn=5.1.1, status=bounced (host utah.znuny.com[88.99.55.35] said: 550 5.1.1 emailtrytest@znuny.com: Recipient address rejected: User unknown (in reply to RCPT TO command))

So, this is not a bug on this side.

Is it possible to override the sending probe?
If yes, how can this be done?

Thanks and regards,

Boris

This indicates that you’re Zammad version is well older than 6 months.
Update to Zammad 5.3 and then update your mail server configuration.

This is not a bug.

Hej MrGeneration,
thanks very much for you reaction!
Yes, I found the new version and tried upgrading, but had issues because of “other reasons”. The upgrade will soon follow.
But for the main question: I solved this thing by patching /opt/zammad/lib/email_helper/probe.rb .
Regards,
Boris
