Trigger on ticket creation doesn't work with Microsoft Office 365

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.2.3
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Debian
  • Browser + version: Firefox

Expected behavior:

  • Confirmation email is sent to customer on ticket creation

Actual behavior:

  • No email is sent.

From the logs:
INFO – : Unable to send trigger based notification to … because no email address is set for group ‘Users’

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • We have configured an Microsoft 365 channel with target group ‘Users’ but no email channel (since we are using Microsoft 365 as email provider).

Sounds like you need to go into the groups in admin and set the email for that group. It is different from the incoming/outgoing channel setup.

Thank you very much, that was indeed the problem.
I was a little confused, because I had to configure the group for the channel / email and the other way around too, i. e. the email for the group.
