NOTE: I checked through existing forums, documentation, and I am not sure I have found a clear answer to this. Hoping the Dev team can answer.

Question: Under Time Accounting < Accounted Time, there is the option to select a “Month” and export the accounted time on tickets from that month. What value is used to determine what month a ticket should fall into i.e. “Created” date, “Closed” date, when Time last last accounted?

We have some tickets that were closed in February, but they appear in the January report. Some times created and closed early February were also included in the January report.

If someone knows for certain what value is being used to determine what month a ticket falls under, that would really help us out to determine how we can properly use this to bill out on a monthly cycle.

Cheers.

Hi @zip. Please take a look into the documentation.

Hey @fliebe92

Appreciate the response.
After further review of the export and re-reading the documentation I now understand that the time accounting exports relevant to “Time Units” being associated to an open ticket during that month, and the “Time Units Total” is carried over should an open ticket be updated the following month.

All that to say, we are good here.
Thanks!
