Ticket: Customer cannot create a new ticket


  • Used Zammad version: 5.1
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …)
  • Operating system:
  • Browser + version: IE

Expected behavior:

  • a user with a customer role can create a new support ticket

Actual behavior:

  • User can login, view tickets - However can not create a new ticket. Only appears to be Customer role. Obtains a error.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • tested many time, same outcome. Reviewed configuration,. might be missing something?

is unter “Channels / Web” , Ticket creation disable ?

This is set to YES - Customers are unable to submit a ticket still

What do the logs show? Try to create a ticket as a customer, note the time and then look into /var/log/zammad/production.log for this time. Is there anything?

This is the error the user (customer) is receiving -


Other roles - Admin and Tech Reviewer are able to submit tickets.

Cannot see anything in the logs.

Search for the error ID your user gives you and you’ll find the reason.
These IDs are not generic but unique to the situation so nobody can help you at this point.

Thanks all, appears it was because of an issue with a multiselect object i could not get working. This was clear as the issue when reviewing the logs - Removed the object and now i customers can submit tickets.
