Subsequent access to text modules and mentioning a person

Title: Subsequent access to text modules and mentioning a person

  1. What is your original issue/pain point you want to solve?

It is not possible, after typing something like @ and starting to write the name of the person you want to mention, to add a second @ afterward to trigger the search for the person. The same applies to text modules, for example.

  1. Which are one or two concrete situations where this problem hurts the most?

If you’re in the middle of writing a text and want to mention a person but aren’t thinking about the function because your mind is elsewhere, and you’re used to other editors where a single @ is enough, you start typing the person’s name right after the @ instead of using two @ symbols. As a result, you have to completely remove the @ and start again

  1. Why is it not solvable with the Zammad standard?

It needs to be adjusted in the programming.

  1. What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?

It would be great if adding a second @ afterward would trigger the search function again. Zammad even performs text recognition by reacting to words like “attachment.” For example, if you haven’t attached anything, it will ask if you’re sure you want to send the message without it.

This is just an example. For text modules, for instance, it would also be very helpful.

This will already be improved with the new editor inside the new desktop-view.
