Start from scratch, keep configuration

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 2.5.x
  • Used Zammad installation source: (source, package, …): deb
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS
  • Browser + version: Firefox 60.0.2

I’ve been testing Zammad for a while now and we are ready to go live. We want to start from scratch, without users, tickets and so on but obviously keep the configuration.

Yes, I’ve been reading this article Reset database to start from zero but even with no ticket I’m still unable to delete all users (as mentioned in Delete Users from exchange synchronisation and https://github.com/zammad/zammad/issues/1096).

Can I just drop the DB or maybe tables or is the configuration also stored in there?

If not, can I tell Zammad that I want to start from scratch with a new DB and the installation wizard?

Your settings are saved in the DB, then you drop it your settings also dropped

if any relationship prevents it, you must also delete it with an destroy-function
