Title: Searches should be pinnable on the left sidebar
- What is your original issue/pain point you want to solve?
Our users want to create custom overviews for tags, single customers or other variables in combination.
- Which are one or two concrete situations where this problem hurts the most?
we have a lot of tags or custom objects in our zammad installation and a large amount of groups, who want to see different things in their overviews. we as a admins dont want to create a lot of custom overviews due to possible performance issues.
For exampe: Group A has a trigger, which automatically tags tickets with the tag “Edit Data”. Now they want to comfortably see all tickets with the same tag from one customer. They ask us to implement a specific overview for this case. Due to our restrictions we dont implement it. The workaround for such a view is to use the search feature. In the next step the users build a complicated search and want to use it once or twice a week. Because of the high ticket volume the search would disappear on the left sidebar oder maybe mistakingly closed to get a better look on other things.
If the users could pin the search to the left sidebar it could stay on top of the list and could be used as a “overview light”. The pinned searches dont have to be updated in the background. Only when opened an update should be done.

Why is it not solvable with the Zammad standard?
Because Zammad standard doesnt support custom views which are created by users and we as admins dont want to create a lot of custom overviews due to possible performance problems. -
What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?
Allowing the users to individually create lightweight overviews which dont put pressure on the system.
