Rename Zammad server and change url

  • Used Zammad version: 4.0
  • Used Zammad installation type: source i think
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 18.04

Hi all,

I have installed zammad as a test on a virtual server on my hyper-v test system.
The host name is: tst-zammad.domain.local with the IP 10.1.160.15
Now I like to move the vm to our hyperv farm and like to change the hostname to: srv-zammad.domain.local 10.1.33.x

The IP change is not a problem. I I know how to change the hostname of a ubuntu server.
But is ist necessary to change the name somewhere else or use zammad always the host name?
Mus I change something on the webserver configuration?

I am not a Linux expert

It would be nice if someone have some information for me.

Thanks
Stephan

Under settings > System > Fully Qualified Domain Name you will need to update the hostname so all the links generated by the system accurately reflect the URL.
