Problem EMail access


  • Used Zammad version: 5.1.x
  • Used Zammad installation type: Ubuntu package as described in documentation
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS on VMWare
  • Browser + version: Vivalid 5.2.2623.39

Expected behavior:

  • Adding EMail-Channel not working

Actual behavior:

  • After filling all relevant information into the dialog box a timeout occurs. Zammad shows that there are x Mails ready on the server for download but a verfication of the email account is not possible. I’ll think that the connection to the SMTP server is not working correctly. I didn’t found anything within logfiles. Connection with a normal mail client and same information is working. Mail server is working with SSL.
    Where can I find more information in logfiles for analyzing the problem?
