Overview not reshing since last update

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 6.3.1-1720156707.17f20fad.focal
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04
  • Browser + version: Edge 126

Expected behavior:

If a tickets is closed the overview should be refreshed

Actual behavior:

since the last update yesterday the overviews not correctl refreshed. Closed tickets are in the overview. The same problem is when new tickets are in the list (no owner is set) and some other agent is working on it and changed the owner. The ticket in the list is without an owner. If I open this ticket the sidebar shows the right values (owner and state).

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Update to the last version.
I don’t know what is the problem. The server is not under high load. After a refresh of the browser page all values are correct like state, owner and so on. But we need to press F5 since today. The server is restarted today but nothing happen. The problem still exists.

Hi @Dennis1993. No idea what happened, but IMO, your database is somehow in a wrong state. Maybe restarting it would help?! Any other than that, no idea, sorry.

This page explains which queries you can run to see which transactions are waiting on each other during the deadlock situation, and this might give the devs insight in a possible cause and/or solution. Could you run those and post the output perhaps?

Taskbar deadlocks are “normal” and can safely be ignored.
Yes they suck and yes, they appear regulary if your instance is busy enough.

Most likely a race condition that was never fixed or the culprit never found.

The server is running for 4 hours, last reboot yesterday 10pm but the problem is still there. Today I can see that the closed tickets are moved to the right overview but the state is yellow (open). If I press F5 all is fine. All users have this problem and calls me about that :smiley:

@dvanzuijlekom Thank you, I closed yesterday all taskbars from any user by the rails console. In this step I cleared the notifications and activity stream. I hoped it helps and today: no error appear in the log like “deadlock”. I check that every day now. This is fixed at the moment.

Interesting. A customer in SaaS is having the same issues right now and I couldn’t find the issue yet.

We also saw a sudden increase in database deadlocks when our Zammad reached a certain size (regarding active users), but these were mostly gone once we tuned the database. This was a long time ago, on Zammad 4.x and 5.x.
