So the issue :

I have a issue with my outbound mail with Microsoft 365 chanel ( inbound is work perfectly and notification too)

The error is :

Can’t use Channel::Driver::Smtp: #<Net::SMTPAuthenticationError: Net::SMTPAuthenticationError>

I dont undestand how can i have a Authentication error if my inbound is works ( Its the same Mail/Password).

Do you have any recomandation what i need to check ?

did you find a solution? I have the same problem.

Hi @robinkyo, @bc1000

Are you using shared mailboxes or private email accounts?

I use a private mail account, right now I got it working if I activate ‚smtp auth‘ for this single account in 365 admin center.
But I thought this should not be necessary because I configured app permission as in documentation mentioned to allow smtp.send etc.

For sure it’s needed to allow SMTP Authentication for your private mail account, otherwise SMTP.Send will give you the error you’ve seen before. App permissions and permission of the mail account are two different topics.
