Only allow users via ldap

  • Used Zammad version: 3.1.0
  • Used Zammad installation source: (source, package, …)
  • Operating system: CentOS
  • Browser + version: Chrome

Expected behavior:

Is it possible to only allow users that exist in the LDAP directory? We want to avoid creating users who are not wanted. Currently, external service providers send by mail to the address of ZAMMAD. Greetings, Olaf

Actual behavior:

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Hey,

that’s only partly possible (I’ll get to the why soonish).
You can disable the allowance for unknown users to create Zammad-Accounts here:
https://admin-docs.zammad.org/en/latest/settings-security.html

Please note that this does not count for e.g. E-Mails you receive from unknown persons.
Zammad will always create users if it get’s some kind of communication from unknown users.

Tickets can’t exist without their customers.
This is a core functionality of Zammad and can’t be disabled.
