Notification e-mail alias with Microsoft 365 mailbox

Zammad 6.2, package, Ubuntu.
System use Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) account.
Mailbox has following aliases:
helpdesk@domain.com (Set as reply email)
helpdesk.noreply@domain.com

Zammad configured with helpdesk.noreply@domain.com email in Emai-Email Notification and use SMTP protocol to send notification to smtp.office365.com with user auth.
Problem: Notifications are send from helpdesk@domain.com address, instead of helpdesk.noreply@domain.com

What email does the group use? Although I don’t think you can send from an alias.

groups use helpdesk@domain.com.
It seems, what “unbounded/false” email such helpdesk.noreply@domain.com are impossible to use with Microsoft365 service. I can not send e-mail with smtp from e-mail address, not assigned to my mailbox, or to shared mailbox, for which i have all rights.
So, if any actually reply to “helpdesk.noreply” notification, it will get into my mailbox.
Simple solution - just drop all incoming mail to “helpdesk.noreply” with transport rule on Exchange, but this does not help, because all notifications appeared from “helpdesk” main alias, and not from “helpdesk.noreply”.
What can be done in this situation?

What are you trying accomplish? Your issue isn’t clear.

I think exchange overrides the sender and ignores aliases:

I want to get notification from system e-mail alias “helpdesk.noreply@domain.com”.
I want any replies to “helpdesk.noreply@domain.com” going nowhere.
I do not want anybody to reply on “helpdesk.noreply@domain.com” going back to Zammad and do something there…

I discovered this setting yesterday and activated it. So far it does nothing for sending mail via SMTP.

This is from Notification E-mail Header:
From: Contoso IT HelpDesk helpdesk.noreply@domain.com
To: user@domain.com
Return-Path: helpdesk@domain.com

My Outlook (same domain and Exchange tenant as Zammad mainbox) shows this mail as from helpdesk@domain.com and I am unable to change this.

Third party mailbox show the same, all mail goes from helpdesk@domain.com

Basically, workaround in my case is possible:
I do not need to send notifications outside my domain. Helpdesk works only for doamin.com users.
Microsoft allows to send e-mails from “false” email/aliases to domain.com recipients via domain “smarthost” (domain-com.mail.protection.outlook.com) without auth, you need only helpdesk ip address in domain.com spf1 record.
Problem with e-mail notifications wizard in Zammad - it sends test email to xxx@zammad.org and Microsoft does not pass such e-mail.

@MrGeneration, can you provide console command to setup E-mail notification with following values: SMTP, domain-com.mail.protection.outlook.com, 25, nossl ?
