No closed tickets found

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 6.0.0
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu 22.04
  • Browser + version: Firefox 114.0.1

Expected behavior:

I’m still in testing phase with zammad. I closed three tickets and wanted to view the list of closed tickets.

  • search for “closed” should show the closed tickets

Actual behavior:

  • search for “closed” shows no result

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Enter “closed” in search field (top left corner)
Message: There is no match for your search.

Confirm search text “closed” by ENTER and extended search is shown. But still no match for “closed”.

Currently, you can do this with the advanced search: Advanced Search — Zammad (for Agents) documentation

E.g. state.name:closed

OK, I understand.
My search for “state.name:closed” doesn’t find any closed tickets.

A search for “state.name:new” has one result only and finds the welcome ticket from Nicole Braun which is created automaticly within the installation of zammad. But I closed this ticket already, so I’m confused why this is the result of the search for a “new” ticket.

On the other hand there is only one open ticket in my test enviroment of zammad, which is found by the search for “new”. However this ticket still has no owner. Could it be that only those tickets closed/open/new are shown where I am the owner?

Maybe your elastic search (re)indexing is not working correctly.

Please do a zammad run rake zammad:searchindex:rebuild and try the same search again.

That seems to work. The search results are now the expected tickets.

Thanks a lot.
