@mentioned agents not getting emails

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 6.5.2
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …) docker
  • Operating system: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)
  • Browser + version: Latest Chrome on MacOS Tahoe 26.0.0

I am running a zammad installed with zammad-helm 15.2.2. I have only one Google Mail Channel set up. Customer can receive emails from agent’s reply. However when one Agent @mention another agent (say B) in internal node, agent B will subscribe the ticket successfully, but will not get email about it.
Other threads indicated it’s a Notification Master configuration issue, and Manage > Channel Email> Settings were the place to modify Notification Master default value. On current version 6.5.2, there is no row to modify Notification Master there. Not sure it’s because I only have one Google Email configured, or other reason?
Is there way to modify it to sending mention notifications using Google Email channel configure?

Expected behavior:

  • When Agent B is @mentioned in internal note, they should receive email notification too.

Actual behavior:

  • When Agent B was @mentioned in internal note, they did not receive email notification, they only subscribed the ticket.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • create a test ticket by sending emails to the Google Email channel email address.
  • Agent A create a internal note in the thicket, and @mention Agent B with @@ short cut.
  • noticed Agent B showed up in the subscriber area after clicking Update button.

Check the email channel. It should have one notification channel, either as sendmail or smtp. If it’s on sendmail, fix it to smtp, as the docker container (naturally) comes without sendmail and mta stuff.

Thank you for replying.

Do I have to set up a Email account first? I do not have emails accounts set up, and do not see notification channel settings either. I only set up Google Email.
My Email channel looks like this:
