Login failed - LDAP Sync broken?

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 6.1
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …)
  • Operating system: Debian
  • Browser + version: Google Chrome AutoUpdate

Expected behavior:

LDAP-Sync or Login in General
*

Actual behavior:

Error shown: Anmeldung fehlgeschlagen. Haben Sie Ihre Anmeldedaten überprüft und den E-Mail-Verifizierungsschritt abgeschlossen?
*
at the moment there is no user login possible. we dont have a “Backup-User” without LDAP Sync for Zammad. So i cant test or check the LDAP-Sync Configuration.
we tryed to get a backup from the time we know the login worked, but same error.

Did you check the production log. Are any errors visible?

Hi Dominik,
no, couldnt find any Errors in Production.log.

You should maybe also first update to the newest version. The 6.1. is already a little bit old.
But normally for an failed login there should be some information in the log.

Update is done, same Error.

Production.log says:
Login failed. Have you double-checked your credentials and completed the email verification step ? ( Exceptions::NotAuthorized)

Then normally the password check against the backend failed without any additional problem. So it’s the normal password check.

we tryed like 10-15 AD Users to login none of them are working and are displaying the same error…

Well if it’s version unspecific and “appeared suddenly” then the common issue is the source, thus LDAP. Some LDAP servers that require password changes may not allow you to login so that might be the issue. Check if you can login with the exact same login credentials on a different LDAP based system.

we really cant find any solution for our problem.
I think we should reinstall the system.
is there an easy way to install zammad on the same VM with some commands and the reinstall will reset the whole “Settings” from our Zammad System including the Users and LDAP-Settings ?

If you just want to throw away the current as is and reinstall, throw away the vm and start over? That’s what you’re looking for, right?

kinda… i was searching for a way to keep the old tickets oder Kategories… just to keep as much as i can but reset the Settings and Users.

Backup and Restore is all or nothing, so no option.

Hi, I have the same problem. The UPN in my AD has changed. Since then, no one can log in. Does anyone know the file in Zammad where the LDAB settings are saved (Bind user)?
Best regards

Hello,

I’m having the same exact issue running version 6.4.1 on a fresh instance.

Did you find the cause?

Thanks in advance
