LDAP synced but not assigned Agent role

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 4.0
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …) socurce
  • Operating system: Debian 10
  • Browser + version: Latest Chrome, Firefox

Expected behavior:

  • Ldap synced to OpenLdap server, users are created but they are assigned to Customer role only, not Agent

Actual behavior:

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Ldap synced users, but all users are reset to assign Customer role, even manually updated many times.

Thank you.

Just adding more info, if i set mapping to another custom role other than “Agent”, it works.
But if i set back mapping to “Agent” role, it doesn’t

Please show me how to map LDAP users to be a “Agent”
Thank you.

The role mapping is happening within the LDAP integration.
You may want to ensure that you’re not providing conflicting configurations, you can learn more about permissions here:
https://admin-docs.zammad.org/en/latest/manage/roles/index.html

Apart from that, I’m very sure that Zammad would log such a incident (e.g. why it wouldn’t want to map the user correctly).
