LDAP Server: Modifying Base DN

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 6.4.0
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …) Docker
  • Operating system: Ubuntu Server 24.04
  • Browser + version: Chrome 131.0.6778.108

We have a query regarding base DN selection in Zammad. When we integrated the LDAP server we are only limited for certain base DN listed in the wizard.

We want to add a custom base DN to retrieve only certain users from a OU.

Is there a way we can access the LDAP config file to change base DN settings?

Technically yes, but that would require manually fiddling on the rails console. Absolutely not recommended in LDAP integration context.

Its not necessary to do this.
You can simply specify what you need within the filter

E.g.:
(&(objectClass=user)(distinguishedName=*,OU=Mitarbeiter,OU=Benutzer,DC=meinunternehmen,DC=local))
