I’d like to use Zammad in a environment with -estimated- 100 tickets per day.
I have read that it is not mandatory to use Elasticsearch with a small amount of tickets. But what is ment by “small amount”?
Is it difficult to add Elasticsearch to an existing installation later?
I currently have limited hardware available. Therefore, I would like to start without Elasticsearch at the beginning.
Does that make sense?
ES is a backend for searching and massively increases the search capabilities of Zammad. While it is possible to run Zammad without ES; it is much more fun with ES.
Yes, you can decide to use ES at a later stage. Just install ES and follow “Connect Zammad”:
