A customer asked me for this:
Is it possible to disable ai-summary function for some groups. Actually its not possible.
You can set different settings as global in the group admin but can not “disable”. So this
feature request is about a fourth setting for the “Summary Generation” setting in group-admin
to disable the ticket-summary generation for specific groups. Here is the dropdown i mentioned:
For which Version: Zammad 7.0.1 and higher

But when “On ticket summary sidebar activation” is used, it’s the user’s own decision to use it or not; it will not be automatically generated.
I think this was the idea from the first implementation.
For sure, you’re right but in some circumstances you as an admin want to hide this feature completelty for some groups. Maybe for enabling this functionality stepwise in company or to limit the costs or simply to be aware of a simple ui without many buttons for some teams. Sometimes you do not have a testing/staging environment and have to test in production.
I think: All other integrated ai-functions in Zammad (as of today) can be limited/hided in different ways for groups / roles / users.. Why is ai-summary the exception?
