Garbage Collection / Tidy Attachment-Backend

  • Used Zammad version: 2.9.x

Hi Guys,

what is best practise to clean up the filesystem-attachment-backend? Can’t find anything in the docs.
Is there a way to archive tickets and attachments? Or is it possible to delete attachments from filesystem without getting problems with tickets?

Thank you!
Jan

There is no easy “just do it” way.
You can remove attachments from ticket articles, yes, but in my opinion it’s a hassle.

May I ask for your use case?
Mostly there’s a reason why you’d want to free space / clean up.

Beside:
You can delete Tickets (this will also affect attachments) via scheduler or rails console.
