Error while executing restoration script

Expected behavior:

I’ve backuped a Zammad instance from a host and would like to restore it now on another device.

Actual behavior:

Everythings goin’ good until the restore script is clearing the cache in the end. Then it throws this error:

  • Afterwards it says that everything has been restored successfully, but I’m getting a 502 Error in the browser. Is there anything I forgot? I’ve already moved and restored this instance to another device half a year ago, it did work back then.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Install Zammad from package and try to restore a backup. In my case it throws that error.

While the cache clearing is very likely to fail in most situations you seem to not have done the forced reinstall. I’m currently guessing that either the operating system or the Zammad version differs in between both hosts.

It’s always a good idea to clear cache after all that by using:
zammad run rails r "Cache.clear" - but before that ensure your Zammad works.

You can also double tab that by running zammad run rails c which will lead you into the rails console. If it throws errors there, you still have issues.

Thanks a lot, that was my fault! My old zammad instance hasn’t been updated for at least a few months :confused:

It has now worked perfectly!
