I have problem with setting email accounts for Inbound with type POP3, last 2 monthes it has been working ok, but recently email is not connecting for Inbound:
while connecting email in Inbound there are only option SSL / No SSL for Encryption method,
but in my email setting only TLS is enabled for POP and IMAP setting
can we add TLS in options for Inbound settings in zammad
Really? We have dozens of this kind of question on this board and Microsoft is telling it’s users since over two years that it’s deactivating Basic Authentication (aka username and password…) for email accounts. The deadline for that was the 1st October.
Which part of Microsoft no longer allows you to connect email accounts by username & password did you not understand?
This has nothing to do with connection security.
Your only option is to switch to Zammads Microsoft 365 channel. Have a look on the above posted documentation it will guide you through.
there you can temporary re-enable legacy authentication for IMAP and SMTP (in your case its POP3)
for a permanent solution, you will need to change the Email integration to 365 Integration using Oauth 2.0 instead of legacy auth
please note, if your 365 does not allow user consent for enterprise application (365) you will need to upgrade to Zammad 5.2.3 to support admin consent
