Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.2.
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu
  • Browser + version: Chrome Version 120.0.6099.234

Expected behavior:

Actual behavior:

We have a Google Channel set on our zammad installation. This morning we have an error because it seems it lost the authentication. I have done a “Reauthenticate” but now Zammad is downloading all the old emails on the server, also if they are is status READ from 2017, and creating new tickets.

Any ideas why it happens and how to tell to Zammad to download only the NOTREAD ones ?

Yes.
That’s because you’re using an outdated Zammad version that’s affected by a bug that switches “keep messages on server” to “false” if you just click submit without changing the value.

I suggest upgrading your isntallation asap. It is prune to several security advisories.
