Detect language when receive email

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.0.1
  • Used Zammad installation type: (source, package, docker-compose, …) apt
  • Operating system: debian 10
  • Browser + version: FF91

Expected behavior:

I have 2 team to reply customer message.
One for French, the other for English

Is there a way to detect the language of an email and assign it directly in the good group?

If it’s not possible, may be there is solution to detect the language of the browser of the customer?

Zammad does not provide any functionality that detects languages at any way - at least not communication wise. As far as I’m aware there’s usually no indicators (except the written text itself) that would allow to do so realible.

Usually customers workaround this issue by either having a custom attribute that indicates the users language (for triggers / filters) on the user or organization. Other approaches would be to filter by e.g. top level domains (e.g. .fr) which however may produce false positives.
