Client password reset

Hello. I’m new and have only read the forums. Today it´s my first try, to post some simple request:

  1. Maybe I missed it, but is there a way for agents to reset the customer’s password?
  2. Is there any possibility to change the status of an object during password reset? For security reasons we use a custom object “validated” for clients who presented their ID during their visit. Whenever someone resets the password we need this status to be set into “not validated” again.

I would be very happy to get some ideas…

Yes and no. Agents by default cannot change any passwords - that’s intentional.
Changing passwords is an administrative task and requires the permission to do so.

Thank your for your reply. Now I granted the corresponding admin rights to manage customers. Now any agent is able to reset the password.

Concerning the second part of my question we deactivated the “reset password” totally.
