Chat not working with new chatId

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 5.2.3
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: Linux Ubuntu 20.04
  • Browser + version: Firefox 112.0.1, Edge 113.0.1774.35, Chrome 113.0.5672.93

I added a new chat Topic, If i want to add the chat with the Chatid of the new topic to my website it doesn’t get displayed. If I change the id in my HTML to the “standard” chatid it works.

Expected behavior:

Chat with new chat id get displayed

Actual behavior:

  • Chat with new chatid doesn’t get displayed.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • Create new Chat Topic and add it to a website.

5.2.x is outdated and prune to security advisories.
We’re on 6.0 as of today.

Update asap.

You need activate agents for the given ChatID for at least one agent that activated the chat.
You can find this individual agent setting in the customer chat within “Settings”.
