Centos 7 Installation - 500: Something went wrong

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 3.4.0-1595230252.9cf40f76.centos7
  • Used Zammad installation source: (source, package, …) yum Repo
  • Operating system: Centos 7
  • Browser + version: Firefox 68.2.0esr

Expected behavior:

  • show Zammad Login Page

Actual behavior:

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • persistent error

Solution

postgresql database ‘zammad’ did not exist
caused by

  • lack of ‘create database’ permission for user ‘zammad’
  • wrong enconding of template database - was SQL_ASCII - should be UTF8
    fixed this and proceeded as described in Install from Source Configure / Initialize Database

yum install zammad pulled in postgresql 9.2.24 as a dependency
