Cant add a Microsoft 365 shared mailbox

  • Used Zammad version: version 6.5.0-1745495282.f371f7f9.jammy
  • Used Zammad installation type: Package
  • Operating system: Ubuntu Version 22.04.3 LTS
  • Browser + version: Google Chrome Version 135.0.7049.115

Expected behavior:

When adding a shared mailbox via Microsoft 365 Graph API the shared mailbox should be added, it should also be possible to select a specific folder in the shared mailbox.
*

Actual behavior:

Its the authenticated users mailbox that is added and the folder structure to select from is from the authenticated user.
*

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Configure app according to the documentation
Click Add an account
Select Shared mailbox
Enter the mailadress for the shared mailbox
Authenticate via Microsoft
Try to select the Shared mail box which is not visible.
*

Try to select the Shared mail box which is not visible.

What do you mean by that?

Did you check the delegated permission from the authenticated user for the shared mailbox?

Yes the authenticated user have access to the shared mailbox, It is visible in Outlook and the user can send email from the shared mailbox and also see incoming emails.

The delegated permission that is listed in the documentation is assigned to the App.

Regarding “Try to select the Shared mail box which is not visible.”

My expectation is that the Shared mail box was visible and not the users email box.

However today when i retried it did work as expected. Almost like Microsoft needed some time to marinate until the shared mailbox was available for the authenticated user.

The shared mailbox was created a couple of months ago, but the access to it for the authenticated user was added yesterday.

With delegated permission, I mean not the app, it’s about the user:

But nice that it’s working now
