Better control of auto-logout timing

Title: Better control of auto-logout timing

  1. What is your original issue/pain point you want to solve?
Currently, users can be automatically logged out of the system after 2 hours, 24 hours or 1 week. None of these options fit our needs. 2 hours is too short and would require four logins during a workday, 24 hours is annoying (see below) and 1 week is way too long.
  2. Which are one or two concrete situations where this problem hurts the most?
When my team logs into their work machine in the morning, zammad is still logged in from the day before. They start working. a few minutes later, in the middle of a ticket, zammad logs them out and often loses some content in the process. If someone begins work at 8:00 everyday, they login at 8:05 into Zammad. The next day, they start at 8:00, are logged out at 8:05 and back online at 8:06. Next day, 8:00 begin work, work until 8:06, logout, login. Repeat. The time window ever so slightly creeps further ahead, becoming more and more annoying.
  3. Why is it not solvable with the Zammad standard?
    The presets are bad.
  4. What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?
A 10/12 hour timeout would allow to login in the morning, do a day of work, get logged out in the night, log back in in the morning. This would reliably enforce reauthentication without causing major annoyances within the entire team. It is also a really easy fix to add one more option to the menu.

Thank you and have fun.
