Adding an option to an customer object of the type "select"

Infos:

  • Used Zammad version: 7.0.1
  • Used Zammad installation type: package
  • Operating system: debian bookworm
  • Browser + version: n/a

I’ve added an user custom object of the type “select” with a link template and without any options, named “idoit_object”.

If I send a PUT request to /api/v1/users/{userid} with the following payload:

{"idoit_object": "28"}

… the option “28” gets added for the user, but the name and the key for the added option are identical. Would it be possible to add a key/name pair as option instead?

I know that it would be possible to add the option to the custom object first and select than the previously defined option, but that’s not what I’m looking for.

Greetings
Chrstian

The payload shows idoit_object set to 28 on Zammad 7.0.1, but the result is missing. What HTTP status and response JSON does that PUT return?

Hi,

Zammad answers with the complete User object and the attribute “idoit_object” set to “28”:

{
 […]
  "idoit_object": "28",
 […]
}
