Add tickets to the backup

Title: Add to the backup script all tickets on the instance

Hello, i dont know if it’s really a feature request or a technical assistance but i’ll try it with feature request. Feel free to change the categories if it’s not.

  1. What is your original issue/pain point you want to solve?
At this time we (my company) don’t backup our zammad instance. I’ve been reading the docs and i see that the backup didn’t backup the tickets.
Did you plan to add tickets in the backup script?

  2. Which are one or two concrete situations where this problem hurts the most?
In my situations i believe that is an issue because if we loose our instance of Zammand and need to restore it we loose track of every demand before the backup.

  3. Why is it not solvable with the Zammad standard?
The backup script didn’t backup tickets

  4. What is your expectation/what do you want to achieve?
Add the tickets in the backup script. So if i have to restore my zammad instance i dont loose track of the activities.

I dont know how it works but maybe we can use the tickets ID in the restore process.

Your Zammad environment:

  • Average concurrent agent count: 5
  • Average tickets a day: 10 - 30
  • What roles/people are involved: agents and customers

Feel free to ask if i miss some informations to understand my needs.

Best regards

I may misundertstood the documentation.

“Restoring or backing up specific information (e.g. Tickets, Users, …) is not supported”, is that mean that in the “full backup” the tickets are backuped?

Well, apparently the zammad backup script does backup the DB, tickets included.
So you should be safe.

Yes, i misunderstand the documentation.

Thanks for your help.

I’m moving this to technical assistance because this sounds like a technical question.
