where exactly can I control who can even log in via the web interface ?

I want that customers can not log in.

Only employees (admin or agent) should be allowed to use the Webinterface.

Where and how can I set this ?

And :
We want to use zammand primarily as an email ticketing system. So a customer sends a request by e-mail which then appears in Zammand.

Is it necessary that for each ticket that is created, the sender of the email is created as a customer ?
Is it necessary that each customer is automatically assigned to a certain group when logging in (Roles-> Customers-> active on new registration)?
